We eat so many different foods. Whether it’s the sauce you choose to dip your fries in or how you assemble your sandwich, we eat some things differently than how they’re “supposed” to be enjoyed. A user on a popular internet forum asked, “What's a food that you eat completely differently than it's normally eaten?”
Here are the top responses.
Ranch

One foodie shared: “I drink ranch, though, I never use it on salad.
Bonus edit: grab some smoked smoked ghost pepper hot sauce and mix it with the ranch. Read the ingredients! Smoked errythang”
Pizza
One foodie shared: “Not me (because its bonkers) but a friend. Scrapes all the cheese/toppings off the pizza and eats the slice first. Does this with several slices then eats all the cheese/toppings at the end. It makes me insane.”
Another foodie commented: “I used to be friends with a guy who ate pizza from the top down. He picked off all the toppings, ate them one piece at a time, then peeled off the cheese, ripped it into a few pieces, ate that, then ate the dough/crust.”
Muffins
One foodie shared: “I like to flip muffins upside down, remove the wrapper, and eat them from the bottom up.
It's less messy, and the top is the best part because it's got better textures. Obviously, this does not work when they're dusted with sugar or have other toppings thrown on top.”
Oranges
One foodie shared: “Not me, but I saw someone go into an orange with the peel on, and I almost passed out.”
Popcorn
One foodie shared: “I eat popcorn by darting my tongue at each piece the way a frog eats flys.”
Others agreed, sharing: “I do this until I can’t reach the corn with my tongue.”
And: “My wife makes fun of me for this. It's so convenient! No buttery fingers!”
Eating with Chopsticks
One foodie shared: “I eat it with chopsticks. I’ve done it for years; I don’t remember why I started. But when it’s movie night, I grab chopsticks. I don’t order popcorn at the theater because I don’t have chopsticks with me.”
Others agreed that they do this too with certain foods: “I eat chips or snacks with chopsticks if I'm using a keyboard or controller while eating.”
Sandwiches
One foodie shared: “I eat sandwiches in a circular way.. like I spiral it.. after 8 years together my wife finally noticed last week and asked what is wrong with me 😂”
Another agreed sharing: “I do that because the center is more densely packed with the tasty stuff! So the last bite is the best one!”
Croutons
One foodie shared: “I eat croutons out of the bag like chips.”
Others agreed, sharing: “And occasionally I will even get those crispy French’s fried onions that are always on green bean casserole and will eat those the same way.”
Mozzarella Sticks
One foodie shared: “Not in public, but when I'm home alone away from judging eyes...I eat the crust off my mozzarella sticks first, and then pop the whole blob of melted mozzarella into my mouth. So cheesey, so salty, so satisfying, and best of all: no sad flour flavor.”
